EFEKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK METANOL DAUN BALIK ANGIN (Alphitonia incana) TERHADAP Escherichia coli MENGGUNAKAN DIFUSI SUMURAN

Indonesia memiliki hutan tropis terluas di dunia dengan potensi tanaman obat. Salah satunya balik angin (Alphitonia incana (Roxb.) Teijsm. & Binn. Ex Kurz.) yang merupakan genus dari Alphitonia dilaporkan aktivitas farmakologis yaitu antidiare, antimikroba, dan antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja golongan senyawa terkandung pada ekstrak metanol daun efektivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri E. coli. Uji menggunakan metode difusi sumuran E.Coli. Dilakukan skrining fitokimia uji variasi konsentrasi 1,66 mg/mL; 3,32 6,64 13,28 26,56 ciprofloxacin 5 μg/disk sebagai kontrol positif Na-CMC 0,5% negatif. Kandungan terdapat alkaloid, steroid, flavonoid, fenol, saponin, tanin. Hasil didapatkan rata-rata diameter zona hambat mg/mL beruturut-turut 6,9 mm; 8,28 9,41 10,05 10,91 mm klasifikasi daya pertumbuhan menunjukkan bahwa mg/mL, kategori sedang, kuat, sangat kuat. Hal juga dibuktikan analisis SPSS Mann-Whitney semua perbedaan bermakna positif.
